Recently in Politics, there has been a lot of movement, both in the United States and in many countries of the European Union. But mostly what I have seen in this movement is not a movement in order to improve the lives of citizens, or an understanding of what it means to be a representative of the people, but rather a movement of hate, dishonesty, and violent attacks on one another.
When I go on Twitter and see that a political party has an account, I want to see their posts be about the laws they are trying to pass in order to make my community or country better. I want to see their posts be about how the world is changing and how they are helping the change to be a positive one. Although, what I just said, isn't a reality. Want to know why? Because when I go onto a political party's account this is what I see (Reference Figure 1.1).
Figure 1.1

There are many other images and hate posts you can find on Twitter, trust me, but I don't want this post to focus solely on this. But instead, I want this article to focus on discussing what a political party should look like and how it should function.
First, I think that politics should not play out like high school drama. MIND YOU, High School tends to have less drama than politics does. And I understand that most of this "drama" is done in order to create press or run opponents out of office, but I think that a key component in creating a political party that services the needs of its citizens is to not focus on trying to ruin opponents, but rather focus on collaborating with other political parties in order to do projects that will improve the communities they are serving. Politics doesn't have to be a constant bickering, fighting, and rudeness, but rather it can be a common ground for people. Of course, everyone has there differences, that is the sole purpose of why we have democracy and a diversified government. That diversity doesn't have to be a fuel for hostilities but rather a glue for solutions.
This second point goes more into government than a political party. The reason I talk about the government is due to the fact that whatever party runs the government has the most say, and the party should implement the following: there needs to be more transparency in the government. By that I mean, I think that the government shouldn't hide anything from its citizens, and specifically, I mean anything that has to do with where our taxes go, why we pay the amount that we pay, and also how efficient is our government is. I mean think about it. If the government had the same transparency as the public companies that are traded on the stock market, we as citizens would have a lot more say in what the government does. Not always are we as citizens able to understand complex ordeals that happen in the government, but that is the government's job to inform us and educate us on what we need to know in order to make the right decisions for our home countries and our neighbors.
There are many other points that I do believe need to be brought up in order to create a perfect party, but that is why we have the comment section. I want to hear what you have to say about it.
